I’m all about lists.
1. Blog every day. I want to be a writer. I should write a lot. You’ll see it here, the Ramp’s blog, or RSM Press.
2. Lead worship again. Facing my fears, digging up my talent.
3. Teach someone to play guitar.
4. Sell a piece of art work.
5. Make a very young friend, and begin to pour into them.
You’ll make a great mistake if you view purpose as what you do when you’re 35, what you do when your 40, what you do when you’re married and you’ve got children. What you do when you’re out of your teenage years or early college years.
You’d be mistaken if you think that’s what I mean when I’m talking about purpose. That is purpose. But purpose is also today. Did you fulfil purpose today? The issue with you becoming who you’re supposed to be ‘then’ is that you are becoming that, or not becoming that ‘now’. You don’t develop into who God’s called you to be in a day. You develop into who God’s called you to be daily. It is a process and if you don’t see that stuff is processed and instead you think one day you just magically just step into it, and there it is and it just happens… It doesn’t work that way.
You are becoming today who you will be tomorrow. So purpose is not just down the road. Purpose is not just when you get your ministry on your own or when you get married on your own or when you get a real job and start making some good money on your own. Purpose is what you do with the opportunity that God has given you today. That’s purpose. You will never have that purpose if you don’t have this purpose. You will never step into that destiny if you abort this destiny right now because you didn’t see this destiny being instrumental in inheriting that destiny.
It doesn’t happen in a day! It happens everyday of your life!
” —Casey Doss (via reubenjm)The peace of God is so powerful. It guides you when you’re unsure. It speaks quietly through the noise of life. The God kind of peace is consuming. It is irrational. This peace is of infinite value. It rules your heart. And it is something to be thankful for.
“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body; and be thankful.” Colossians 3:15
I have a vision to create a blog that many can come to and be inspired. One of my plans to make this happen is going to be a weekly missions blog post. I’m very, very excited about this.
In this post, I would do my very best to tell the story of one of my missionary friends. I would then go on to tell about their next upcoming adventure into the nations, and provide an opportunity for you guys to support them via PayPal in their next mission.
What do you think? Any ideas?
